Men regret abortion

in

Brian Fisher, in the opinion section of FoxNews.com, writes a great piece entitled “Abortion and fatherhood – a man’s take.” He writes:

[Legalized] abortion didn’t empower women.  It empowered men.

Millions of men welcomed the change. The sexual revolution was booming, and men were experiencing a new kind of empowerment we hadn’t previously enjoyed.

We could now sleep with anyone we wanted without any fear of responsibility if our female partner became pregnant.

But this “freedom” came with a price tag beyond the blood of the innocent. Mr. Fisher writes:

As we approach Father’s Day once again, more and more men are realizing the impact abortion has not only had on women, but also on themselves.  And the impact is anything but positive.

Some men feel tremendous guilt for pressuring wives or girlfriends into killing their babies. Some men realize that they were negligent in their duties both to the baby whom they killed and to the baby’s mother whom they failed to support during her pregnancy.
